A few weeks ago, we all celebrated the Idaho 4th of July Parade Live from Boise. A part of the celebration is to name the best floats of the parade. The Idaho Republican Party took second place, following behind the first winner which was Zamzows.

Dorothy Moon, the Chair of the Idaho Republican Party, was gifted a $7,000 check to the charity of their choice. They chose the charity, "Meals on Wheels."

According to their website, Meals on Wheels is an army of volunteers that deliver and serve more than 2,000 meals every weekday to seniors around the state of Idaho.

Moon shared why she wanted to gift the money to this charity saying, "Meals on Wheels is something my dad used a lot, if it wasn't for Meals on Wheels coming to visit him every day....it sure did help him a lot, and lifted his spirits, especially when folks get older."

Matthew Phillips, the supply coordinator for Meals on Wheels, greatly accepted the donation. Phillips explained how this money will impact their program, saying, "This kind of money helps us expand the program, and keep it going. It will provide quality service to our seniors and others who depend on us every day. So thank you so much!"
